At the moment we are looking for System (Citrix) Administrator for a few months contract in Frankfurt.


It's a short term contract, with possibility of extension. Onsite job in Frankfurt (Germany).

 

What is the project about

Wintel Infrastructure Support Engineer dealing with highly skilled operational  tasks, key projects deliverables, proof of concepts, changes to the IT environment/associated infrastructure as well as escalations, trouble-shooting, security controls and maintenance of security polices/standards.


The candidate would be also responsible for assisting colleagues through knowledge transfer, actively participate in meetings, maintain and contribute to security standards and policies as well as maintaining peer review processes for change management task. Overall, the candidate will need to be able to work in a highly variable mixed environment and must display personal initiative and drive to be successful

 

  • Ensuring the stability and functional operation of the server infrastructure (physical/virtual) and core services such as Citrix, Active Directory, virtual environments, file services, e-mail services (MS Exchange, Mobile Iron) and other services in IT Operations team remit
  • Servicing operational and change requests, incident/problem resolution including root cause analysis
  • Working as part of a larger global team whilst also operating independently on certain issues such as requests and IT infrastructure related projects
  • Assisting colleagues through knowledge transfer, actively participating in meetings, maintain and contributing to security standards and policies as well as maintaining peer review processes for change management tasks
  • Supporting IT teams in the management of regional IT projects to ensure delivery to time, scope and budget, helping to compile annual budgets in conjunction with the business and senior IT management
  • Managing IT vendors in the region ensuring service level agreements are in place where necessary
  • Provide backup coverage for end user / 1st level support as required to service desk.

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Able to complete engineering, architecture and design work, evaluate products, create proposals, conduct testing, write documentation and implement resilient solutions that meet the Banks standards
  • Detailed knowledge of:
    • Virtualization platforms (ESXi 6.0 and 6.5)
    • Windows Server 2008/12 R2
    • Microsoft Active Directory 2008/12 R2
    • Citrix XenApp 7.XX
    • Citrix Xen Desktop VDI technologies
    • Root cause analysis methodologies
    • Microsoft Lync 2013\Shoretel Messaging
    • Mobile messaging platforms
    • Understanding of Firewall and networking infrastructure
    • Exchange 2010/2016
    • HP Blade and Rack server platforms

General skills

  • Good working knowledge of ITIL with a strong grasp of incident / change / problem management as well as a proven ability to manage & deliver projects
  • Excellent team working and relationship building skills - ability to lead teams and manage / motivate staff whilst retaining a strong client focus
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work hours required to meet deadlines (including flexibility to perform out of hours tasks and changes if required)
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a multicultural working environment in a global organisation
  • Flexibility to perform out of hour’s tasks and weekend changes
  • Knowledge of Banking processes and application work flows including end of day processing
  • Language requirements: English mandatory. Russian and/or German would be desirable
