IT Operations Engineer

Job description

We are seeking for experienced IT Security Operations Engineer who is willing to work with our client - one of the largest banking and financial institution in the world. Currently we are building the Global Cyber Security Team as client is transferring to the cyber world. As an IT Operations Engineer you will be responsible of the design and development of an organization’s IT infrastructure and its security standards.



  • Performing operational support (24/7) of various security tools deployed across.
  • Implementing system security policy, client and host access, file permissions and user accounts. 
  • Day-to-day administration and maintenance of network. 
  • Monitoring system security relating to resiliency, malware intrusion and patching Installation, maintenance and upgrade of software. 
  • Executing server and system data backup and recovery. 
  • Coding, testing, debugging application systems in operational environment. 
  • Supporting the assessment of new technology products and projects.
  • Handling issues such as: setting-up, testing, configuring and troubleshooting. 


  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience of working in Cyber Security environments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and being able to clarify complex concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Handling proper vendor escalations.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as: PowerShell, Perl, Python, Bash, etc.

  • Working experience of supporting Cyber Security tools such as: Symantec, McAfee or Splunk.

  • Familiarity with Unix, Windows and database platforms such as: Linux, Windows, DB2 and Oracle.

  • Working knowledge of application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Tivoli etc.

  • Work collaboratively with the Engineering team to identify process efficiencies and  help automate operational procedures.
